A Beautiful Journey through Miles and Credit Card Points

Hello my readers! Welcome to my blog. The intention of this blog is to share my experiences, views and tips to get maximum out of one’s credit card points. So we are here to simplify the process of maximizing and optimize your travel, so that you can get the best and unforgettable experiences, cause there is always a better way.

Trust me if you own some good credit cards and can crunch the numbers you will be amazed to see how you can save a lot and stretch your budget further to explore the best out there.

How it all started?

“If we were meant to stay in one place, we’d have roots instead of feet”, someone said once! So apparently we both love travelling a lot & believe in choosing the best possible stays for our vacations. You can check some of our favorite destinations here. Its all about utilizing points and miles that can help and save us the travel costs. My husband is always quite aware about all the discounts, deals & offers, airlines programs, travel related points and miles programs offered by credit cards. And that made me curious too, so we started discussing about it on a regular basis and started planning our travel accordingly. This made me write a blog about it too, since it seemed quite mind-blowing to me. So lets get going & if you like my blog, you do the math too before planning your trips and keep checking out my blogs. Also feel free to write me if anything you want to further ask. Hotels:

The Westin Singapore- How we redeemed Credit Card points for our free stay

The Westin is an American upscale hotel chain owned by Marriott International. This premium luxury 5-star hotel provides a soothing, contemporary escape amidst the bustling city of Singapore.
On our Singapore trip, we used our credit card points for our stay here after which we only needed to spend money on our lunch and snacks during our stay.
You can easily convert your credit card points to the Marriott Bonvoy points. We converted our AMEX MR points into Marriott Bonvoy for our Singapore stay at The Westin.

Similarly you can also redeem the points for your five-star hotel stays especially at Marriott & Hilton brands which can give you extra perks also (breakfast, room upgrades, etc) depending upon your status.

I know everyone accrues different types of points, miles or some prefer cash-back. How we utilize or accrue points and miles may not be the same way or best way for others to use them. But you can checkout if still it helps you in anyway or if it make sense to you. Do let us know in comments if anything you want to ask or have a query with.

Checkout some credit card benefits that will help you to utilize the best from them-

  1. Using points for five-star hotel stays,
  2. Gettting some cool cash-back
  3. You can also get better value by using them for booking business class, q suite flight.
  4. Exchanging for gift cards, etc.
  5. Plus there are many other bigger websites out there, like The Points Guy,(links)  that exclusively discuss how to get the best value out of points and miles.

As of now we utilized them for some exotic staycations during our past trips. We are definitely gonna use miles to book some good flights for our future trips when it makes sense or we are getting good value for those miles.
Personally we feels we can get much better value out of miles for booking business class flights. Especially when there are long flights it gets really tiring in those premium economy flights too. In my future blogs, I will share about some good deals regarding booking flights through the miles too. Stay tuned for the same.

Have a great day.
